Alberta Speed School

Competition Information

Alberta Speed School has club protocols in place to ensure safe travel for our members and their families. Some of our services are different depending on the athlete’s age and where they are located on the Long-Term Athlete Development model of appropriate competitions.

For any athlete in the U14 & U16 age group, we require a parent to travel with the athlete to act as chaperone and room with them in accommodations. For the Twilight Competitions (1 day meets) occasionally Alberta Speed School will travel as a team / group to the event to keep the cost affordable for the athletes.

Athletes cover the following costs:

  • Meet entry fees.
  • Travel to and from the city hosting the meet.
  • Ground transportation in the city hosting the meet.
  • Accommodations

Attending Meets, but not limited to:

  • U20 and Senior National Championships if the athlete achieves the qualifying standards.
  • U18 athletes that are performing well will be encouraged to participate at U20 Nationals for a high competition experience.
  • U16 and U18 National Championships if the athlete achieves the Team Alberta legion team standard. If the athlete is not selected to team Alberta, and has achieved the qualified standard, Alberta Speed School can enter the athlete, at the athletes cost.
  • All Provincial Championships or Trials

Scroll down until you find the event you want to register in.
Click on “View Info” on the right hand side of the event listing

Sometimes the Membership # defaults once you put your name in.
If not, you can do a membership look up. If still not email Coach Ron, he will have the information.
Once you select an event that you wish to compete in and an age category. It is VERY important that you enter a seed time. If you’re entering a track event, put your PB (Personal Best) as a seed, if it’s a field event same thing, put your PB Jump or throw as a seed.
Be careful, just use the seconds & ms fields for seed times.
After you will get an email notification of your entry. You can always go back in and edit your registration from the email confirmation.
Don’t enter relays, Coach Ron will do that on the day of the track meet.
